Alpine has developed a convenient earplug cord that is available separately. The cord easily clips onto the earplugs. Because the cord is attached to the side of the filter, the filter is not sealed and its performance remains unaffected. I can see how they are useful, but unfortunately they transfer vibration from your helmet straight into the earplugs when used
