FAQs

The ClearTone earplugs can be used approximately 100 times. Regular cleaning can help extend their lifespan.

We recommend cleaning the earplugs regularly with mild soap and lukewarm water. After cleaning, dry them thoroughly.

To remove them properly, gently pull on the part of the earplug filter that protrudes outward.

If this happens, we recommend seeing your doctor. Never use sharp objects to remove them, as this could push them further into the ear canal.

The SNR value (Single Number Rating) is a European standard that allows you to compare the noise reduction levels of different hearing protectors. Independent laboratories test earplugs and earmuffs to determine the SNR value of an earplug.

In the United States, an NRR (Noise Reduction Rating) is used instead of an SNR. This standard is slightly stricter than the European standard. The higher these ratings, the more the hearing protection reduces noise. Both NRR and SNR ratings are often shown on Alpine product packaging.

FAQs

Yes. Speech is slightly dampened by the filter but remains audible.

Linear filters reduce sound without distorting it. In this way, ClearTone earplugs make the sounds you hear less sharp, without compromising quality.

ClearTone earplugs are multifunctional, meaning they can be used in a variety of situations. Use them while studying, going out, playing music, working with noisy equipment, traveling, or if you are sensitive to sound!

We do not recommend using ClearTone earplugs for sleeping. The hard linear filter in these earplugs can cause discomfort in your ear canal, and they block noise less effectively than filter-free earplugs. Consider trying our SleepDeep earplugs as a better alternative for sleep.

Pasvorm & comfort

It is important to carefully follow the instructions for finding your size (see the video above) and to ensure that the earplugs are inserted correctly. When in use, your body heat helps the earplugs adjust to the shape of your ear canal.

The ClearTone earplugs are suitable for children aged 3 years and older, provided the correct size is used and they are inserted according to the instructions.

Every ear is unique in size and shape. The package contains 3 sizes, so we aim to have the right fit for everyone. However, to be 100% sure the earplugs fit your ears perfectly, we recommend our custom-made earplugs.

Product & materiaal

Unfortunately, we do not currently sell individual replacement parts (earplugs or filters). We recommend using your travel case to prevent losing your earplugs.
