MotoGP™ racing events
Speed, adrenaline, fearless overtaking, wheel-to-wheel slipstreams... few things are as exciting as a MotoGP™ race! And it's even more thrilling if you get the chance to witness this spectacular event in person. You'll find everything you need to know about MotoGP™ events in 2025 below, including this season's race calendar. We'll also explain why hearing protection is so important at MotoGP™ races and the options Alpine offers.
MotoGP™ racing events in 2025
The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) has been organising international road races since 1949. In 2002, MotoGP™ became the successor to the 500cc class, which until then had been the toughest class in motorcycle racing.
Today, MotoGP™ bikes are limited to a maximum engine capacity of 1000cc (set to be reduced to 850cc from 2027). Six manufacturers will participate in the 2025 MotoGP™ racing events: Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Ducati, Aprilia and KTM. The MotoGP™ World Championship consists of 21 Grands Prix races. Each Grand Prix lasts around 45 minutes and covers between 100 and 130 kilometres, depending on the circuit.

Why do you need hearing protection at MotoGP™ racing events?
The noise levels at MotoGP™ racing events can easily reach volumes of 130 dB. That's comparable to the noise of an aeroplane taking off! When you're exposed to this noise level, you risk immediate and irreversible hearing damage if your ears aren't protected. It is therefore essential to wear proper hearing protection if you attend MotoGP™ races in person.
Alpine Hearing Protection suitable for MotoGP™ racing
Buy MotoGP™ hearing protection
At many racing events, Alpine has a stand where you can purchase Alpine hearing protection. There may be a long queue, though, or you may not have time to visit the stand. We therefore recommend that you order your MotoGP™ hearing protection online. Be sure to place your order well before the event so your ears will be protected while you enjoy the race!
