A motorcycle trip or a picnic in the park? A beautiful phrase to describe this is: ‘Life consists of making choices’. Plenty of opportunities, but personal preference prevails. This is similar to the process of selecting earbuds. What exactly are you looking for?

There are many types of hearing protection on sale for different situations. This is why you need to know what the earplugs will be used for. If you decide to go swimming on this lovely summer day, you need earplugs that keep the water out. But you if take a passenger on a motorcycle trip, you can choose between two types of earplugs: disposable or reusable ones. But you might be looking for specific characteristics.

Different characteristics

No ear is alike, so we will give you a summary of the various characteristics of earplugs:

  • Coloured earplugs
The well-known yellow earplugs, often made out of foam, are very popular in general. But pink earplugs have recently become popular. Alpine offers red, white, black and silver grey earplugs.
  • Soft earplugs
If you wear earplugs, you don’t want them to be hard and annoying. Soft material is of course preferred. This is why you can choose for foam earplugs. Alpine has earplugs made from special thermoplastic material, AlpineThermoShape™, which feels very comfortable in your ear.
  • Silicone earplugs
Some earplugs are made of silicone. Silicone earplugs are similar to the yellow plugs, but are much less soft and contain dyes. If you are allergic to silicone earplugs, you’d be wise to skip these.
  • Invisible earplugs
There used to be a kind of taboo on wearing earplugs. Especially since they stuck out from the ear and were very visible. Today, earplugs are not quite invisible, but they better fit in the ear, making them a lot less noticeable. Nobody can offer you invisible earplugs, but it doesn’t really matter these days. Earplugs are common.

With so much variety in earplugs, it is sometimes difficult to choose. But as with any product, you have desires and demands. Alpine offersdisposable, reusable and custom earplugs. There is something for everyone. So bring on those tropical summer days and make it a party!
