Alpine acoustic filters for hearing protection ear moulds

An otoplastic is a tailor-made hearing protector (earmould) to the size of the ear, which consists of two components: an earpiece and a filter system.

The earpiece

A mould is made of the auditory duct, which is then processed in a laboratory, into a perfectly-fitting earpiece.

The filter system

Inside the above described earpiece, a filter is inserted. This filter is available in 5 different levels, from low to very high attenuation. Due to the selective attenuation, only the harmful levels are filtered out, and ambient and speech noise remain audible.

In addition, the filter is an open system so that the wearer continues to be able to identify the direction of sound, and annoying pressure differences are avoided.
